Lil Nas X Came Straight Out of a Video Game
Lil Nas X has a style that's as unique as his music career. He's always wearing something that some might consider a little out there, and someone on social media came up with a perfect description of his outfit in this photo. They said that he dressed like a character from a snowboarding game that was released in the late 90s to early 2000s. He does look like he'd be at home on the slopes in this photo.
We're sure that he didn't really mind the comment either, considering that he also kind of gives off chill (no pun intended) snowboarder vibes in pretty much every interview he's ever done.
We Guess Some People Think David Blaine Looks Too Relaxed
David Blaine is a magician and performer who's known for his extreme acts of endurance and street magic. Apparently, he's also known for his calming voice, too, because someone commented on the way he talks in this tweet, saying he looks like "his voice is putting his face to sleep." We're not going to lie; Blaine would make for a pretty good narrator, but we never thought he looked sleepy during his performances.
Maybe the person who tweeted just thought that he looked a bit too relaxed during all of his performances, which, to be fair, he does, considering some of the stunts he's performed.
Michael B. Jordan’s Feather Duster Mustache
When it comes to mean things people say online, truly, nobody is safe. Take Michael B. Jordan, who seems like a perfectly likable guy, yet still gets roasted regularly. The tweet he was reading out in this photo mentioned his mustache, and the writer compared it to a "mini feather duster." We're not exactly sure who wrote the tweet, but it was pretty hilarious, and Jordan got a kick out of it when he first read it.
While the tweet was pretty hilarious, it was also a bit aggressive, with the writer saying that he would slap the mustache off Jordan's face if he ever saw him in public. Ouch.
Not Even Lisa Kudrow Can Escape the Wrath of the Internet
Former Friends star Lisa Kudrow seems like one of the nicest people you could meet. So, why would anyone want to make fun of her? We aren't too sure, but the internet is going to be the internet, meaning that not even Kudrow is immune from getting roasted. She was reading off mean tweets on a late-night show when she got to this one, which is just really blunt and to the point.
It's not even a specific joke aimed at Kudrow; it's just someone telling her to get lost but in less tame terms. Luckily, Kudrow has a great sense of humor and just burst out laughing as soon as she read it.
Maybe Nick Jonas Thinks Ferrets Are Cute
The Jonas Brothers are probably used to criticism at this point, but that didn't make this tweet any less impactful when Nick Jonas read it aloud on late-night T.V. Someone wrote on Twitter that Nick "was cute back when he was in the Jonas Brothers, and now he looks like a ferret." We don't really see the resemblance, but Nick still took it on the chin like a champ.
He even laughed a bit, which is kind of surprising considering how blunt the tweet was. It could also have been a lot worse, considering ferrets can be pretty cute.
Ryan Gosling Is Made Fun of for Being Too Handsome
When it comes to the internet, you don't even really have to have anything "wrong" with you in order to be made fun of. For example, take Ryan Gosling. He's a pretty handsome guy, so surely nobody out there could find anything to roast him for, right? Nope, that's not the case, and someone took to Twitter to express their frustration with Gosling's facial features and his "perfect bone structure."
However, Gosling has a pretty chill personality, so he just took it like a champ. Then again, the tweet itself is pretty much just one big (angry) compliment.
The Internet Teases Lil Pump
Rapper Lil Pump is another character who's no stranger to being teased on the internet. While we probably could've dug up countless tweets about the rapper, we decided to go with the one in this photo. Someone took to Twitter to say that Lil Pump "is the type of person to put a ruler under his pillow and see how long he slept." That's a pretty bad burn if you ask us.
We aren't too sure how he reacted or if he's ever even seen the tweet, but we're sure he probably has so much money that things like this don't really affect him.
Michael Strahan's Teeth Are Having a Permanent Party
Michael Strahan has been able to turn a storied football career into a very successful career in broadcast. The man is talented both on and off the field, but his teeth have been the butt of jokes at times throughout his life. Here, someone tweeted that his teeth look like "they're having a middle school dance," with the boys standing on one side of the room and the girls standing on the other.
However, Strahan is used to it, and despite having the money to fix his teeth, he's said in the past that he prefers to keep them the way they are because they're a part of who he is. We love that.
Taylor Swift Gets Back at Kanye
Taylor Swift was famously cut off once by Kanye West while she was receiving an award. Kanye congratulated Beyonce before telling Swift he would let her finish in a second. So, it was only a matter of time before Swift would get back at Kanye, and she did so in this tweet, congratulating Beyonce on having "one of the best labors of all time." She also directly tagged both Kanye and Kim Kardashian in her tweet since they'd just welcomed a baby together.
However, we're not exactly sure if they got a laugh out of it or not. We'd probably have to bet that they weren't very happy with the whole situation.
Jimmy Kimmel Can't Pull of a Hoodie the Way Eminem Can
Jimmy Kimmel is a night show host who's always poking fun at others. It's pretty much his job. So, the internet wasn't going to miss an opportunity to give him a taste of his own medicine when he appeared for a skit next to rapper Eminem. The two were wearing the same hoodie, and commenters noticed that while it looked good on the rapper, it made Kimmel look like a dad that'd called in sick to work.
That was probably the look he was going for, though, because in the skit, he said that his rap name would be "Briefcase Joe," which is probably the most "dad" sounding rap name we've ever heard.
Someone Had Something to Say About Billie Eilish's Style
Sometimes, the internet can be downright mean. We're not entirely sure where this comment came from, but someone wrote that Billie Eilish dressed like she got her clothes from a lost and found somewhere. The talented singer does have a pretty wild style, but she can. She's basically a rock star at this point, and when you're a world-famous musician, you have to dress like it, which means dressing in wild outfits.
She's also known for really not caring what other people think of her, so this comment probably didn't even phase her, even when she first saw it.
Joey Diaz Gets Roasted for His Voice
Joey Diaz has both an iconic face and voice, so it's no surprise that someone was able to throw together a joke making fun of the latter. In this photo, he's talking with Joe Rogan on his podcast. He appears there pretty often, usually to tell funny stories that involve other celebrities. However, this time a YouTube commenter managed to get the best of him and wrote that "If cholesterol had a voice," it'd sound like Diaz.
That's pretty funny, and from what we can gather about Diaz, he probably would've laughed had he seen the comment. But unluckily for us, we don't know whether he read it or not.
Oprah Joined Social Media - And Shaq Had Something to Say
Oprah might seem untouchable when it comes to getting roasted, and she pretty much is. There aren't many people who can say that they've been through the things she's been through and ended up being as successful as she is. Still, that doesn't mean you're friends aren't allowed to poke fun at you every now and then, which is what happened when she tweeted to the world for the first time.
Shaq casually responded that she had accidentally tweeted with her all caps on, which we're sure made her laugh.
Adam Scott Was Drawn by a Very Talented 6-Year-Old
We absolutely love Adam Scott. He's hilarious in any role he plays, but apparently, not everyone is a big fan. A person posted something about how he looks like what you'd get if you told a talented child to draw a picture of Tom Cruise. The actor does have a bit of a resemblance to Tom Cruise now that we've read the comment, but it really isn't very strong.
Luckily, we know that Scott has a great sense of humor. He's even appeared on Between Two Ferns — a show where actors go on to get made fun of by the host.
Bette Midler Takes a Swipe at Derek Jeter's Dating History
You don't even have to watch baseball to have heard of the name Derek Jeter. The former Yankees star was an illustrious career and was probably one of the best to ever play the game. He was also a superstar in New York and was frequently seen out while he was dating different women. So, when he finally told the world that he was going to get married, comedian and actress Bette Midler just couldn't resist.
She tweeted that the marriage was great news but that it was also probably going to get in the way of his dating. It was all in good fun, and we're sure Jeter appreciated it.
Steph Curry's Record Couldn't Save Him From This Tweet
This mean tweet was read aloud on a night when a lot of NBA stars were doing the same late-night show. So, at least he wasn't the only star getting roasted this evening. Still, that doesn't change the fact that this comment is pretty funny. Someone wrote on Twitter that Steph Curry could be doing a lot more damage in the NBA if he'd just changed his name to Steven.
We're sure that his name has nothing to do with how well he plays, but that didn't stop the NBA star from bursting out laughing when he read the tweet.
Social Media Blasts Mark Zuckerberg
If you really think about it, it's kind of ironic that people take to social media to roast Mark Zuckerberg, considering he pretty much started social media. However, that's what people do, and pretty frequently, but it was taken to a whole other level when he appeared in front of Congress to testify. People started saying that Zuckerberg looks a bit nervous when making public appearances.
The roast is actually pretty funny, but we're pretty sure he's too busy swimming in his cash to pay any attention to the internet trolls.
We Doubt Kristen Stewart Cares What You Think
While many of the comments on this list are from people just having fun and joking around, this one is actually a bit mean-hearted. Someone wrote that they liked Kristen Stewart more when she had short hair. At least, that's what we think they were trying to say with this comment, essentially questioning her femininity. It's probably safe to say that this comment came from a troll and not someone who was just joking around.
Still, we're sure it didn't bother Stewart too much, considering that not only is she highly successful and doesn't have time for that, but she also looks great with both short hair and long hair.
Drake's Wizarding Background Is Called Into Question
Drake rose to fame, not as a rapper but first as an actor on Degrassi. He then turned that into a very successful music career, and today, pretty much everyone knows at least one Drake song. However, we never knew he also had a background in wizardry. At least, that's what someone wrote on Twitter when they said that he looked like Voldemort if the dark wizard actually had hair.
He managed to keep a straight face after reading out the tweet, but we're sure that he was laughing on the inside because that was a pretty clever joke.
Tom Holland's Positivity Lands Him a Rap Persona
Tom Holland is one of those actors that's just really hard to dislike. The guy is so positive and always super polite. A commenter on YouTube took note of this one time and said that Holland kind of looked like he was related to Eminem and that he could be his "more positive younger cousin Skittles." Not only would we love to see that, but Skittles is probably the perfect name for an Eminem sidekick.
We'd imagine that Holland would be pretty good at it, too, considering his experience in plays and with singing over the years. Now, someone just has to talk Eminem into it.
It's Not Easy Being Kelly Ripa
No one is safe from the comedians on the internet, and it doesn't matter what you look like; you will get made fun of at one point or another. In this tweet, someone pointed out that Kelly Ripa has a slightly large forehead, although that's not really the term they use. Instead, they say that she deserves credit for balancing a head that big on a body that small.
Luckily, Ripa is no stranger to roasting people, and she probably had a good laugh if or when she saw this. It also doesn't hurt that she's insanely successful.
Dwayne Wade Gets Roasted By His Wife
Just because you're a superstar and a multi-million dollar basketball player, it doesn't mean that you're immune from getting made fun of sometimes. This is especially true if your wife happens to be Gabrielle Union, who is known for taking shots at her husband when he misses one on the court. She tweeted that he needs to learn how to put the seat down after a photo of him missing a basket showed up online.
Her tweet was hilarious, but we're sure some fans weren't too happy with Wayde missing a basket, considering it was a very important point during a very important game.
Zendaya Brushed off This Teasing Tweet
Here's another pretty mean comment left by someone on the internet. We're not exactly sure where this photo of actor Zendaya was posted, but it was probably posted to Instagram or something. This commenter added that they thought Zendaya was skinny, comparing her to spaghetti. Zendaya actually ended up reading the comment in front of an audience after it was posted and had a good laugh about the whole thing.
The fact that she was able to just laugh the whole thing off like it was nothing just goes to show how much of a class act she is.
People Don't Hold Back On Y2K
The internet can be a pretty disparaging place. To see why, look no further than this comment left under a music video by Y2K. A lot of the comments on there were blistering, but this is one of the best. Someone compares the singer to a young boy who "dressed up as a girl who dressed up as a guy for Halloween." That comment has some serious Tropic Thunder vibes.
Anyway, we're sure that the singer read a lot of the comments and chuckled to himself. At that point, you really couldn't do anything but have a laugh.
Ja Rule Gets the Go Ahead to Retire
There's probably nothing worse than being a has-been if you're a singer or musician. Ja Rule was a rapper whose popularity peaked in the mid-2000s. Still, he's stuck around with various projects over the years. He once tweeted that if anyone needed him, he'd be moving to Alaska, so someone responded that "Nobody has needed you since 2005, bro." It's a pretty hilarious response, and we only hope that Ja Rule was able to get a laugh out of it.
Considering he's done pretty well in recent years, he probably didn't let the comment phase him. He's had somewhat of an entrepreneurial streak as of late and even tours occasionally.
Ryan Reynolds Trolls the Rock
Both The Rock and Ryan Reynolds are known for joking around with others, especially on social media. So, it kind of makes sense that Reynolds would comment on this photo after The Rock posted it saying he had to tear it off the brick fence. Reynolds jokingly commented that the gate is supposed to open the other way, which sounds like a pretty typical Reynolds response to something like this.
We just wish that we could see if or how The Rock replied because we're sure he had something just as clever to say after seeing Reynolds's comment.
Adam Conover Gets Roasted by a YouTube Commenter
Comedian Adam Conover is known for taking jabs at others online, so this one is kind of fitting. He appeared on the Joe Rogan Podcast, and when the video of it went to YouTube, one clever commenter remarked that he looked like "the kinda dude to drop his wife at her boyfriend's house." Conover did eventually see the comment and gave the writer props for coming up with something that clever.
We'd expect nothing less from a comedian who frequently makes fun of others online, especially when given a comment that's as funny as the one in this photo.
Steve Harvey's Miss Universe Mishap
When you make a blunder as large as the one that Steve Harvey made during the Miss Universe pageant, you can be sure that you're going to get roasted on the internet. And that's exactly what happened after he accidentally crowned the wrong winner during the event. This meme is a picture of Harvey after he realized his mistake. Thankfully, he was able to survive the whole ordeal and can now look back on it and laugh.
However, he has called the week it happened one of the worst of his career, which is a shame because Harvey genuinely seems like a really likable and wholesome guy.
Martha Stewart Is Actually Pretty Savage
You wouldn't think it because of her calming demeanor, but Martha Stewart can actually be pretty savage at times. Not only is she friends with Snoop Dog, but the star also sometimes takes to social media to roast others. Here, she asked for help in identifying Jonathan Cheban, who's a friend of the Kardashians and once told the world that he was a "food god," although we're not really sure what that means.
Stewart, who is well known for cooking, took issue with this and tweeted for help on social media. She's also known to enjoy a good laugh at her own expense.
Aretha Franklin's National Anthem Performance Was a Long One
Aretha Franklin has a beautiful voice, and she's truly an American gem. However, not even Franklin is immune to getting roasted on the internet, which is what happened after her famous performance of the National Anthem. She sang the song really well, but people noted how long she took to get through it. The song typically only takes a couple of minutes, but Franklin stretched it out to five minutes.
There were many tweets about it, but this person wrote that they'd managed to cook a whole turkey in the time that it took Franklin to sing the song.
Ethan Hawke Takes It With a Smile
Ethan Hawke is a Hollywood veteran. The actor has played in dozens of movies, and he does a really good job in pretty much any role he plays. However, someone on Twitter pointed out that the movie star kind of just looks like a normal guy who "slipped through the cracks, and everyone was like 'OK.'" However, maybe that's one of the reasons he just seems like such a likable dude.
It turns out he has a pretty good sense of humor as well because he just laughed the mean tweet off. He's also known for joking around with his costars and friends.
Hunter Hayes Is a Short King
If you don't know Hunter Hayes, he's basically a musician and singer who is able to play around 30 different instruments. In short, he's an immensely talented musician. But that doesn't mean that the internet isn't going to latch on to something and roast him for it. Someone wrote that Hayes is small enough to "sleep in a hot dog bun." The guy isn't even really that small and is only slightly below average height.
Still, this joke wasn't quite as savage as some of the others on this list, so we're sure he didn't really take issue with it too much. In fact, he probably just laughed it off.
Blake Lively Roasts Hubby Ryan Reynolds
Hollywood couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are known for their social media antics, in which they frequently take jabs at one another. Thankfully, it's all in good fun, and the jokes they post are usually really funny and clever. For example, Lively posted this photo of her husband standing next to Ryan Gosling and cropped Reynolds out after he did something similar. She wrote "Happy birthday, baby" as the caption.
It may have been one of the cleverest roasts we've ever seen by someone's partner, and we're sure Reynolds got a kick out of it after seeing it online.
The Sprouse Brothers Are Just Like Zack and Cody in Real Life
If you're at all familiar with The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, then you know that the two brothers were always making fun of each other in the show. Well, it turns out that nothing really changed in real life. The two frequently spar on social media. In this photo, Dylan Sprouse tweets his brother, saying that he was carrying the show on his back the entire time.
We imagine that the two are just as fun when they're in a room together, and they probably grew up taking jabs at one another, as all good siblings do.
Quavo's Real Name Is Revealed to the Internet - And the Response Is Hilarious
If you aren't sure who Quavo is, he's a rapper who's appeared in songs with Justin Bieber and continues to rap to this day. Of course, like most singers, Quavo is just his stage name, and his real name is Quavious. As you might imagine, when the internet learned about this, people shot to social media to start making jokes about his name. Someone even compared it to the sound a sword makes when it's unsheathed.
We actually think it's a nice, unique name. It even rolls off the tongue pretty well, but we can also understand why he might've wanted to change his stage name to Quavo.
Kacey Musgraves' Clothes Get Scrutiny
Sometimes, mean tweets are just that: mean tweets, and they aren't really that funny. For example, take this tweet, which was targeted at country singer Kacey Musgraves. In all caps, someone wrote that Musgraves needed to put more clothes on and that the outfit she was wearing "is not country." We're not exactly sure what they consider "country," though, since you can look pretty far back in time and find country music singers, both male and female, wearing all kinds of different outfits.
Musgraves did the classy thing, though, and just kind of shook the comment off with a chuckle after reading it in front of the audience. We're sure it didn't affect her for too long, considering how successful she is.
Ryan Reynolds Congratulates Ryan Reynolds
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have a couple of entries on this list and for a good reason. The two just seem like they have a really great marriage, and they're always going back and forth with one another. Here, Reynolds tweeted his wife happy birthday but completely cropped her out of the photo, leaving only himself in the photo. However, Lively would later get him back with a photo of her own.
And while we're sure she had a good laugh at this, she obviously never forgot about it because she did something similar for Reynolds's birthday.
Internet Justice Targets Andy Dick
While the internet can often be a really nasty place, sometimes it comes together to dish out some justice. This tweet was from a random person on the internet, and it targeted Andy Dick, a comedian who is now a registered sex offender, according to The Los Angeles Times. So, suffice it to say that while we definitely do not condone violence, there are worse comments on this list.
We're not really sure how Dick reacted when or if he read this tweet. But there were many more out there after news of his deeds first broke, and we're sure he saw a few of them.
Another Sparring Match Between Twitter Royalty Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively
We'll never get tired of seeing Ryan Reynolds go at it with his wife, Blake Lively, on social media. In this photo, you can see a tweet he made about his wife's new movie, asking her what she did to Emily in the movie. He even tells people that she once drove him to the hospital while she was pregnant. She shot back that this secret was the least of his worries.
It's a pretty clever and funny comeback, and Reynolds probably got a good laugh out of it before suddenly getting worried if she was being serious or not.
Howard Stern Gets a Taste of His Own Medicine
Most people out there have at least heard of the Howard Stern Show. It's a program in which its host, Howard Stern, talks about what's happening in the news and makes fun of other celebrities. So, it was only a matter of time before the infamous host appeared on another show to read off some mean tweets from random people online. In this tweet, someone compares Stern to Jimmy Kimmel.
However, the comparison wasn't very flattering. Stern took it on the chin, though, and even said he was impressed with the writer's sense of humor, which is unsurprising considering it's the kind of joke you'd hear on his show.
