Nostradamus and His Eerily Accurate Predictions About Hitler
While you might not think much of Nostradamus's statement, "From the depths of the West of Europe, a young child will be born of poor people, he who by his tongue will seduce a great troop, his fame will increase towards the realm of the East," others take it to be a reference to Hitler. This is one of the prime examples used by people who believe in Nostradamus and his predictions.
While it is still vague and could be interpreted as many things, there are countless people who use this as the reason Nostradamus was truly accurate.
His Predictions of "Burning Skies"
The rise of Hitler was not the only prediction of Nostradamus that was accurate. So don't think for a moment that there was only one time he was correct, and people are running with it. On the contrary, many think that his prediction of "From on high, evil will fall on the great man" refers to John F. Kennedy's assassination. While it is still a bit vague, some people are staunch believers.
They also believe that “The sky will burn at 45 degrees, fire approaches the great new city” was a prediction of what happened on 9/11.
The Prediction of a Great War Referring to Russia and Ukraine
War is one of the most common predictions that people make. Maybe it is safe for them since, sadly, it is a part of human nature to be at war. One of his famous verses, "Seven months the Great War, people dead of evil-doing. Rouen, Evreux shall not fall to the King," has many people convinced that he was able to predict the Russia-Ukraine war that is currently being waged.
While the city names are not Russian or Ukrainian cities, but rather French, it has led many skeptics to also use this as a way to prove to others that it is a farce.
Did Nostradamus Predict a Third World War?
While many of Nostradamus's predictions were based on massive world events like war, it is no surprise that many people look to him to see if he predicted a third world war. While there is not a specific verse of his that mentions a world war per se; people are still concerned about how some of his writing could be interpreted. They believe what he wrote, so they don't want this one to be true.
It's best to keep hope that Nostradamus never actually predicted a third world war since no one wants that to happen.
He Predicted Cannibalism
One of Nostradamus' creepiest of predictions most likely comes from this verse: "No abbots, monks, no novices to learn, honey shall cost far more than candle-wax, so high the price of wheat that man is stirred, his fellow man to eat in his despair." It has so many dark and negative words in it that it's not a surprise that this is one of his creepiest thoughts. You can only hope that he wasn't referring to cannibalism.
But if he was, then he would have been correct. Apart from small-scale or individual instances of cannibalism, the horror was widespread during the 1921 Russian famine.
The Climate Will Not Be Spared
Of course, just as you would expect in modern times, his predictions would also go into the realm of the climate. And maybe that is how they are all related. One of his verses says, "The dry earth will grow more parched; there will be great floods when the rainbow is seen." While he does mention a rainbow here, it doesn't seem like that signifies good things in this scenario.
It almost seems to be more in reference to Noah and the ark when there was total destruction and a complete reset of planet Earth.
There Would Be a Widespread Drought
Aligning with all of his other doomsday-style predictions, Nostradamus also talked about how there would be a lack of rain, otherwise known as a drought. While many countries have already started to experience their dryest seasons in years, it may be a sign that this prediction is coming true. Or is it just a sign that Nostradamus knew how climates work and that sometimes there isn't as much rain as at other times?
Things have been pretty dry recently all around the world, but it definitely doesn't and hasn't qualified as an actual drought, so the world hasn't seen the realization of this prediction yet.
Was He Predicting the Trump Era?
When you hear the word trumpet, what do you think of? You might think of one of the most famous politicians of modern times. There is hardly a person on earth who doesn't know his name. When you read this verse, "The trumpet shakes with great discord, an agreement broken: lifting the face to heaven. The bloody mouth will swim with blood, the face anointed with milk and honey lies on the ground," do you think of Trump?
Some people think that this verse refers to Trump, while others believe that it would more likely pertain to one of the members of the Royal Family.
Who Was Nostradamus?
Nostradamus, draped in mystery, captivates minds across the ages. Questions arise: Who was he, truly? Born Michel de Nostredame in the 16th century, he transcended his era, gifted with foresight that defied conventional understanding. His prophecies, a blend of astrology and intuition, eerily foretold events spanning wars to natural calamities. Yet, Nostradamus embodies more than mere prediction; he embodies the timeless archetype of the seer, his wisdom resonating through history's corridors.
If you've never heard of Nostradamus before, you will surely be in shock of interest and on a journey of prophecy into this man's mysterious legacy, and especially what he had in store for the royal family and King Charles in particular.
An Eerie but Correct Prediction About Queen Elizabeth
While some of Nostradamus' predictions were quite vague and hard to pinpoint, there is one that was undeniably accurate. Mario Reading, a British author who deciphered Nostradamus' predictions long ago, deciphered one in particular that really stands out now. It was deciphered as "Queen Elizabeth II will die, circa 2022, at the age of around 96." That is just what happened, and it is concerning for the fate of the rest of the monarchs. What else was written about them?
If good things were written about the rest of the Royal Family, then it would be nice to read some of his predictions; however, was that the case? It seems unlikely.
What Does 2024 Have in Store for the Royal Family?
There are some predictions from Nostradamus that have not come true or that people have not yet understood, but there is one that sticks in people's minds because of how accurate and spot-on it was (sadly). He wrote, "Two steel birds will fall from the sky on the Metropolis/The sky will burn at forty-five degrees latitude/Fire approaches the great new city/Immediately a huge, scattered flame leaps up." It's hard to deny this one and the connection to 9/11.
No one wants to believe that his predictions are accurate, mainly because most of them are pretty dismal, but it will be interesting to see how they relate to the Royal Family.
The New King in Nostradamus' Eyes
So what does Nostradamus think of, or have to say about, the new king? Since he was able to quite accurately predict when Queen Elizabeth would pass away, he certainly would have a few words to say about the new king. Unfortunately for Charles, it doesn't look like the verdict is good. The next lines he wrote were "Because they disapproved of his divorce/A man who later they considered unworthy/The people will force out the King of the islands/A man will replace him who never expected to be King."
From the way things sound, it doesn't seem like Charles is going to be a loved king.
The Failed Marriage With Princess Diana
If there is one king that would be a perfect fit for Nostradamus' prediction, it would be King Charles. There is probably no affair on earth more famous than the one that caused the split of the (then) prince and Princess Diana. He did have a messy split of a marriage, so does that mean that the next part of the prophecy is also true for the king and is bound to come true?
Because of this split as well, he is not Britain's most beloved member of the Royal Family. The public's sentiment definitely was on Princess Diana's side.
A Lifelong Resentment
While there are plenty of people who have forgiven King Charles for his divorce from Princess Diana, there are plenty of people who have not. It is listed in Nostradamus' writings that there would be a certain resentment and you can really feel that resentment towards the King currently. So many British citizens will never forgive him for what happened to Princess Diana. They will forever grudge their monarch.
The exact wording that Reading used in his book regarding the prediction was, "Charles will be 74 years old in 2022 when he takes over the throne, but the resentments held against him by a certain proportion of the British population, following his divorce from Diana, Princess of Wales, still persist."
The Tampongate Incident
Nostradamus' prophecies aside, "The Crown" on Netflix has really brought Charles' personal life into the spotlight. In the latest season, they dug into the awkward "tampongate" chat between Charles and Camilla, a cringe-worthy moment he probably wishes he could erase. Even with the crown on his head, Charles can't seem to shake off the chatter about his divorce, the affair, and the entire horrible incident. This is not really how a monarch wants to be remembered.
This just goes to show even more that King Charles is not the most beloved member of the royal family, and yet he is still the monarch at the head. But those are the events that happened, and there is no way to change it.
King Charles at the Head
Reading foresaw a challenging future for Charles post-crowning, asserting, "The pressure on him is so great, and his age so much against him, that Charles agrees to abdicate in favor of his son." And that is exactly what is happening in Britain now. The idea of a generational transition within the monarchy remains a topic of discussion. As Charles faces mounting pressures and advancing age, the speculation surrounding his potential abdication intensifies.
The dynamics within the royal family seem poised for significant upheaval, with the possibility of a younger successor taking the reins capturing public attention and speculation alike.
It's Time for King William to Take the Throne
For many people in Britain, they believe that there is a simple solution to replace the not-so-loved king. His son, Prince William, can simply take his place. He is much more loved by the people, and it seems like people would be much happier to see him as the head than King Charles. Will that happen? No one knows, but you can look to Nostradamus' writing to see if there is a clue.
Time will tell if Prince William will take the throne before his father's passing. It seems to be what many people want, but no one knows if it will happen.
Where Does Henry IX - Better Known as Harry - Fit in?
Reading delved further into the prophecy, pondering the implications of Nostradamus' "never expected to be King." What exactly did he mean by this? Would Prince William or Prince Harry become the king instead of King Charles? Is that what Nostradamus thought would happen? It has not happened yet if that was his prediction, but only time will tell what will take place in the future. It would be interesting to see Henry IX become king at just 38 years old.
Would Prince Harry even want this position if it were to be offered to him? By the looks of things, it does not seem that he would take it.
Who Will Take the Throne?
The possibility of Prince William not ascending the throne after his father prompts speculation about the circumstances that could lead to such a scenario. There are essentially two conceivable options in this scenario. Firstly, William might choose to abdicate, akin to his ancestor, the Duke of Windsor. However, in the event of William's abdication, the line of succession dictates that his oldest son, Prince George, would inherit the throne rather than William's brother, Harry.
It seems that no matter what happens, it would be a messy situation. There are so many options, yet King Charles is still the ruler.
How Harry Could End up (temporarily) on the Throne
To continue with the confusion, if William died before Charles, George would assume the throne, provided he reached the requisite age. However, if both Charles and William passed away while George remained a minor, the need for a regent would arise. In this scenario, Harry would be the one to step up and take this place. There are so many options, and no one knows what they will be.
The real question is, what does Nostradamus think will happen? Did he mention it in any of his writings? You will see as the story unfolds.
Who Would Be the Regent - Harry or Andrew?
As you can tell from the name, being a regent is also a royal title, although it isn't the same as being a king. It is almost the exact same thing; the title is different, and there are a few small technicalities. The options for a regent would be Prince Harry or Prince Andrew. Andrew is not a great option due to his legal scandals and everything surrounding it.
Harry is also not a good option as he distanced himself from the throne. So, who would the regent be?
Harry Said He Would Not Accept the Regency
The prospect of Harry accepting the role of regent, even in the event of a family tragedy, remains uncertain, especially considering his post-royal sentiments. When asked about it, he had an immediate and unequivocal answer: "No." His candid response underscores his firm stance on stepping back from royal duties and obligations. Harry's public statements since relinquishing his royal status suggest a commitment to forging his own path outside the confines of traditional royal expectations.
Given his stated reluctance to return to full-time royal duties, it seems unlikely that Harry would entertain the idea of assuming the responsibility of regent, even in the face of unforeseen circumstances within the royal family.
What if Nostradamus Didn't Mean Harry
When you look at Nostradamus' prophecy, it's like diving into a puzzle. It just says, "A man will replace him who never expected to be King," leaving us to wonder who fits the bill. Surprisingly, there's someone out there who thinks he's the guy. He genuinely believes he's the one Nostradamus was talking about. It's a reminder that historical predictions can stir up a lot of debate and speculation.
Whether it's Harry or someone else, the mystery keeps us hooked, making us question fate and destiny in a way that's both intriguing and uncertain.
Throw a Secret Lovechild Into the Mix
Just to make things more complicated, there is Simon Dorante-Day, a British-born Australian, who has been vocal about his belief that he's the secret lovechild of Charles and Camilla. His story has some interesting twists: he claims his adoptive grandparents used to work for the royal household back in Queen Elizabeth's time. According to Dorante-Day, his grandma straight-up told him that he's Charles and Camilla's kid. But here's the catch: there's no concrete proof to back it up.
Despite his confidence, without solid evidence, his claims are left hanging in the air, open to doubts and speculation. Still, it adds another layer to the intrigue surrounding royal families and their hidden histories.
Contingency Plans Are Actually in Place
The British government appears to be contemplating contingencies for the unlikely scenario in which both Charles and William pass away before George reaches maturity. It seems that they are slightly concerned about the prospect, and they need to have a plan in place in case this were to happen. While they probably don't believe that anything will actually happen, they want to make sure that they have a plan in place just in case.
So, what is the backup plan? It seems that their backup plan is for the Duke of York or the Duke of Sussex to hold the place as regent.
Charles and the Republics
The way that Readings interprets it in his book makes it seem like there is a very clear trajectory for Charles after the Queen has passed away. He wrote, "Charles will be crowned in her stead and become 'King of the Islands.'" This is interpreted to mean that the commonwealth will divide, and the countries of Canada, Australia, and New Zealand will no longer be ruled by the Royal Family.
That has not yet happened. However, all of those respective countries have had votes in their countries multiple times to decide if they should become republics or not in recent years.
Charles Still Is the Leader of the Republics
While these countries have not officially left the Commonwealth, this prediction has not yet actually come to pass, and there has been talk of it in many of the countries. Some of the smaller countries have disconnected from the monarchy (such as Barbados), and it is only a matter of time before the world sees if the other countries follow suit. Will the predictions come to pass for King Charles?
It is hard to tell what the trajectory of the world will be, even with predictions like these from Nostradamus. All that is certain is that 2024 will be a crazy year for the Royal Family.
An Eternal Love for the Family
Even though Harry has separated himself from the Royal Family and that lifestyle, that doesn't mean that he holds resentment for them. On the contrary, he still loves them very much, even if he doesn't want to live the lifestyle that was set out for him with them. While he wouldn't be willing to be a regent for the throne, he would be there for his nephew if the need arose.
He is no stranger to growing up without a father, and so he wants to make sure that no one else would have to experience that, especially his own nephew.
Rules in Place to Prevent Tragedy
Even though it's not a pleasant thought, members of the royal household still have to consider such grim scenarios. There's actually a royal protocol that says two heirs to the throne shouldn't travel together, just in case of an accident. But William doesn't always follow that rule and often flies with his kids. This shows the delicate balance between royal duties and family life and the challenges of modern royal responsibilities.
While accidents are unlikely, the protocol is there as a precaution, reminding everyone of the risks involved in their positions and how they can try to prevent tragedy.
Harry Could Actually Become King
In a truly tragic and unimaginable scenario, Harry could actually ascend to the throne, not just as a regent but as the reigning monarch - if he would take the position. While this is very unlikely, and it would involve the loss of the entire Cambridge family. Prince William and all three of his heirs would have to be eliminated for Prince Harry to gain the throne. Luckily, that is very unlikely to happen.
Harry does not even want to take to the throne. He didn't even want to be a regent, let alone the king. Hopefully, there will be no tragedies that will lead to this scenario.
Is Nostradamus Relevant Today?
Interpreting Nostradamus's verses poses an enduring challenge. Penned centuries ago, his language reflects an era vastly distinct from our own. Perhaps some allusions remain lost to the annals of history, forever beyond our grasp. Yet, amid this ambiguity, his words retain a compelling resonance. Advocates contend that his insights, though veiled, merit attention. It is easy to interpret his poem-like verses as many different things, but most people agree that he shouldn't be ignored.
Even if you don't want to take his predictions as true or accurate, it is still interesting to read what he wrote since it was written in such a poetic manner.
Nostradamus and the Planet Mars
While you might not have expected Nostradamus' predictions to extend into outer space, they most definitely did. He had a verse that went, "From the celestial fire on the royal edifice, when the light of Mars will go out." That has a very doomsday vibe to it, and most people are hoping that there is a chance something will happen to Mars, but Earth will still remain relatively stable in the process.
Hopefully, the horrible thing that he predicted would happen to Mars wouldn't be the result of humans reaching the planet and making life for themselves there.
When Earth and Mars Unite
While most of Nostradamus' predictions have a pretty negative tone to them, there are some that have slightly more positive themes, such as this one: "The two contenders will unite together. When most others unite with Mars, the African leader is fearful and trembles; the dual alliance is separated by the fleet." It is both good news and bad news somehow, so it's hard to decipher what he is trying to say.
It is interesting that they were talking about uniting with Mars at a time when people are actually taking active steps to see if they could live on Mars.
Predicting Life on Mars
There are some people who believe that Elon Musk, the one who is trying the hardest in modern times to populate Mars, is the "king" that was mentioned in Nostradamus' verse. Although he isn't what you would expect of an African ruler, he was born in South Africa, so technically, he is African. Maybe Nostradamus was not that far off with his predictions that a unification of Earth and Mars is in the future.
Luckily, it didn't seem like this was the most negative prediction. Hopefully, this unification is actually a good thing and not a bad thing for humanity and mankind.
What Kind of Sacrifices Is He Talking About?
As if it was not already hard enough to try to understand what would happen in the future, Nostradamus decided to make it even more confusing by writing what he thought was a riddle. “Within a little while, sacrifices shall come again. Opposers shall be put to martyrdom. There shall be no more monks, abbots, or novices. Honey shall be much dearer than wax.” What do you think that means?
This has been interpreted in many different ways, and no one is quite sure what he meant, but they are sure that it doesn't sound too good.
Food Prices Are on the Rise
If there is one thing that he was correct about in that prediction, it was that food prices would rise. There is probably not a place on earth that has not noticed that the cost of food has increased a lot over recent years. Usually, when people refer to "wheat" in poetry like this, they mean food in general. Wheat, and all food as well, has risen in cost significantly.
Perhaps this verse does make things seem to be a little bit on the rise, even if food prices are going up as well. You win some, and you lose some.
Food Shortages All Around the World
Not only did he believe that food prices would go up in general, but he also thought that there would be a lack of food overall. He wrote, "Like the Sun, the head shall sear the shining sea. The Black Sea's living fish shall all but boil. When Rhodes and Genoa half-starved shall be, the local folk to cut them up shall toil." Just like so many of his other predictions, this seems pretty bad. Luckily, the world has not seen this one just yet.
You can only hope that the food prices go up, not that the food disappears entirely. That would be far worse than high prices.
There May Be Hope Afterall
While it might seem like it is all bad news and all bad predictions, it doesn't mean that there is nothing that can be done to stop it. People all around the world are making efforts to help the climate and to reduce mankind's negative impact on it. Who knows if it will make a difference or not, but at least they are trying for what they believe in.
Will this reverse his predictions? Only time will tell, and even then, it is unlikely that any of it can be traced or linked to his prophecies. It is hard to tell when they come true and when they don't.
Civil Unrest Is Bound to Come This Year
One of the most famous of his quotes was, "Sooner or later you will see great changes made — dreadful horrors and vengeance." Like most of Nostradamus' verses, it's difficult to decipher if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Change does not mean bad, but then he delves into dreadful horrors and vengeance. That is undeniably a bad thing, but the first part almost seems like it could be good.
It goes without saying that there are so many places around the world that are experiencing civil unrest. Is that what Nostradamus was referring to? What is happening in the world currently, and what will continue to happen?
Vague Predictions About the Heavens
As would be natural for a man living in the 1500s, Nostradamus had some predictions that were also focused on more religious concepts. One of his verses reads, "For as the Moon is thus led by its angel, the heavens draw near to the Balance." While it certainly sounds pretty scary, it does not have any actual real meaning. It's hard to tell what this means apart from just sounding like a verse out of the Bible.
Once again, you can't even really tell if this is a good thing or a bad thing. There are so many ways to interpret this that maybe it is best left uninterpreted.
